This week, in Maths, we have been learning about converting fractions into decimals. We have also been using our knowledge of decimals to solve reasoning and problem solving questions.
Umar says ‘we have also learnt how to round decimals this week. When you round decimals, you use the place value below the one mentioned and see if it’s five or more or four or less.’
In English, we have been studying poetry. The new concepts we have learnt include: colons, semi-colons, dashes, hyphens and perfect form.
Jebran says ‘We wrote a short paragraph about the war and how the soldiers suffered. I have enjoyed this topic because I have been learning some History alongside English skills.
In Geography this week, we have been learning about the difference between the human Geography of the Amazon and California.
Ashleigh-Jo says ‘I know that California is a mostly urban civilisation.’ Umar says ‘Unlike the Amazon!’
Travon says ‘I know that there is not much human Geography in the Amazon because it is a rural environment.’
