For Children In Need, we have been busy! We have come to School wearing yellow or something spotty and collected money donations to send to the charity. We have completed a walking challenge - where we did four laps of the running track outside. We have spoken about what charity is and looked into…
Citizenship fun!
Today, we had fun playing playground games with a younger year group for our citizenship award!
A pledge to help!
As a part of our citizenship programme, we have pledged to help out at home. We have all individually made our pledge and I look forward to seeing the photographs that’s parent send of their child actioning their pledge.
Buddy Reading
Today, during our celebrations for World Book Day we shared stories with Year 6. We loved our buddy reading time and can’t wait to do it again soon.
Year 3 Citizenship
Today we ticked off one of our citizenship activities by taking part in team building activities. We had to travel from one end of the hall to the other using the mats. We had to help each other pass the mats to make sure nobody touched the floor.
Year 6 citizenship
Year 6 completed their first citizenship task by helping out in another year group. We helped year one to plant flowers, showing friendship, respect and determination in doing so.
Pantomime Success
A huge well done to one of our Year 3 pupils who has performed on stage in a Cinderella pantomime. She showed courage by performing to an audience and ticked off one of her citizenship activities. What a superstar!
School Parliament
Today Mrs Rathbone held a whole school Parliament meeting where the members of parliament got to discuss the actions taken by each department and share their successes and impact of these. #pupilvoice #schoolparliament
Year 5 Citizenship Litter Pick
This week, year 5 have been out in the local area to pick up litter. We were surprised at how much litter we found, especially around our school. Well Done everyone… we can tick off the first activity in our citizenship passport.
Christmas Sing Alog
Today the Singing Superstars visited a Care home to sing some Christmas songs to the residents. The residents joined in with the singing, clapped along and some even had a little boogie. We were so proud of the children.
Sports Day Superstars
Seagulls class absolutely loved their sports day today! The showed great sporting ability and great sportsmanship to the class mates. They took part in javelin, sprints and even a tricky obstacle course! We are so proud of their efforts and they kindness they showed to each other. ⭐️
