Forest school fun
Today reception took part in a forest school session all about the season of autumn. This links to our prior understanding the world learning of seasons and seasonal changes. The children loved being outside and getting involved in all the activities set out.
Forest schools enrichment morning!
Today the children took part in forest school as part of their enrichment. We built dens, went on a bug hunt, did mud painting and drank hot chocolate. We used our senses lots this morning!
Forest School Fun!
For our last Forest School session this academic year, we celebrated by enjoying a toasted marshmallow, more den building (this is our favourite activity), mud painting and chalking. The children truly do thrive in outdoor learning!
Forest Schools!
This week, Y6 have started Forest Schools! Mrs Barker was really impressed with how well Y6 worked together to produce some lovely pieces of art using only natural resources! I’m sure you will agree that the work they produced was so creative and imaginative!

Today we have enjoyed bug hunting, mud painting, making wands by tying knots and making observational drawings of insects.
Forest School - Knots and Frames
This week Y5 had a fantastic PE lesson, starting their forest schooling with Miss Barker! It’s truly a unique experience and the children loved getting the chance to learn how to tie knots and using this skill to make frames out of sticks. We can’t wait for the next lesson!
Marble rolling and leaf rubbings
Today we stayed inside for Forest School as it was so cold outside. We used conkers and paint to create pieces of art using conker rolling and we also used dry leaves to create leaf rubbings. We had lots of fun!
Forest school - tied up in knots
Today we had lots of fun during our first Forest School session. We used sticks to create our very own pictures frames. We used string to attach the sticks together and worked hard to tie the string and make knots. Once completed we took pictures using our frames. We can’t wait for next weeks…
