In order to support our pupils moving into the new classes or moving to their new settings, on the week beginning 1st July 2024, all children will take part in Transition events. On Wednesday and Thursday all pupils will move into their new classes to get to know their new teachers and for some children get to know their new classmates. These days are planned to allow children to flourish in their new environments. The curriculum for these two days is adapted to support children with this change, where there will be opportunities for children and staff to build relationships and get to know each other.
We will also welcome on this day our new teachers to Waterside and new pupils and their families.
New to school children in Nursery and Reception will be able to visit school for sessions alongside of their guardians. Here you will meet your child's class teacher and take part in planned activities alongside of your child. We look forward to meeting you all and welcoming you into our school community.
