This week in Duck class we have been looking at how people celebrate Easter. We took part in lots of different activities such as decorating eggs, learning about the Easter Story, traditional foods such as hot cross buns and chocolate eggs.It has been a very busy week and we wanted to celebrate together so we made an Easter card for our families.
We have read 'The Easter Story' to understand that Easter is celebrate by Christians. We know that not everybody has the same celebrations but its important that we respect and learn about all religions in our community.
This week we have completed our phonics assessment, the children are making so much progress with their recognition of sounds, reading phase 3 words and recognising the tricky words. Over Easter it would be great to keep recapping the sounds for consistency and reminders.
This term has gone so fast! I hope you all have a lovely half term and stay safe. I look forward to seeing you in 2 weeks time
Happy Half-Term,
Miss Mayer
