In book talk we discussed the different features of fiction and non-fiction books. We learnt that a fiction book is a story and is made up using the authors imagination and a non fiction book contains facts and real life information. We explored the contents page and glossary of non-fiction books and found that these were not features of a fiction text. The children also noticed some similarities between fiction and non-fiction books such as both types of books have a front cover, a title and an author. We love reading!
