How do people help us?
This week we continued our learning around people who help us. Last week we focused on what they look like, what uniform they wear, what colours they typically have and we have now extended our learning to how they help us.
Deserts!
This week in Geography, Year 4 have been learning about what plants and animals live in a desert!
Translating coordinates!
This week in Maths, Year 4 have been focussing on translating coordinates on a grid!
Senses and Textures
The children have loved using their senses to explore the different materials. They have been using lots of vocabulary such as ‘soft, rough, smooth, fluffy’. Together we felt the materials and grouped them into the correct category.

Sports Day
We had a fantastic afternoon on Sports Day! We enjoyed competing in the sack race, obstacle course and the sprint. The children showed wonderful determination and great sportsmanship to cheer each other on. Everybody took part and had lots of fun! It was lovely to invite parents in to share theā¦
Sports Day
We had a super Sports Day with Reception!
We have been working so hard on our races and we were so happy to share these with our families. We all took part in different races and cheered our friends on when it was their turn.

Wild or Garden plant?
We have really enjoyed our Science topic on plants so far! Take a look at us exploring the school grounds for wild plants and garden plants. When we got back to the classroom we recorded our findings by drawing the plants we saw and labelling them.
Beeston Castle
Today we enjoyed a visit to Beeston Castle where we applied all of our learning on Pre-historic times.
Forest School Fun!
For our last Forest School session this academic year, we celebrated by enjoying a toasted marshmallow, more den building (this is our favourite activity), mud painting and chalking. The children truly do thrive in outdoor learning!
Celebrating Eid!
This afternoon, we had a lovely time celebrating Eid Mubarak! Thankyou Miss Nisa!
Symmetric figures!
This week in Maths, we addressed our misconceptions surrounding symmetric figures!
Representing Numbers
Super maths outside! We have been representing numbers and learning the correct formation through the number rhymes. I was amazed at their efforts. Well done Nursery.
