Latin Learners
Today we used roleplay to act out a storyboard in Latin! We used what we already knew to build on our knowledge to translate and practise in our pairs.
Sensational Sewing
Year 3 tried something new today - we used a needle and thread to add to our seascapes in art. Using white, blue and green thread we created patterns to add to our wonderful artwork. We found it tricky and a little bit fiddly but we showed determination and made great progress. Well done!
Canvas Painting
Today we began creating our art inspired by textile artists by painting our sea inspired background on fabric. We found it tricky at first but the results were great!
Latin Fun
Today we looked at the link between feminine and masculine nouns and adjectives in Latin! I’m so impressed with how well we’re doing at learning this tricky language.
Hedgehogs, bugs and mud!

Year three, today, in after school club worked hard and got very messy to make bird feeders, we know that we need to help the birds during the winter months.
Have you spotted any in the trees around the school?

We then thought of adjectives to describe his personality but used our iPads to make these even…

We measured our femurs and jumped as far as we could to investigate if the length of the bone affected our ability to jump. Next lesson, we will analyse the results and come up with our…
Mosaic Storyboard
Today we read a story from the Hindu religion. We each had a different section to illustrate before putting them together to create a huge storyboard. Our drawings showed we understood the story and we were very proud of the results.
Forest School, conker rolling! ( After school club)
Storm Babet hit us this week making it a little wet and windy to go outdoors so instead we had a craft session. We used conkers to make patterns and leaves to create hedgehogs. We enjoyed rolling the conkers to make patterns, do you like them?
Charcoal Artists
Today we enjoyed using the charcoal to create 3D shapes and shadows. We drew the outline of the shapes and used smudging to create shading. We got very messy but we were so proud of the end results!
