Today in computing we used the programme word. We used the different tools to edit our writing changing the size, colour and style. 

The children worked in teams today to build a den, they had to think carefully about how they were going to build their den and what offered the most protection, if it rained. Super team work by all - well done!

In after school, Forest School today we practiced our knot tying skills to make picture frames! Smile - we did!

In drawing club today ,our year 1’s used mirrors to study their faces and created their very own self portraits!

Today we have been exploring different mediums. We have used pencils/handwriting pens to complete observational drawings of the objects we collected last week to create replicas of Andy Goldsworthy’s work. Today we focused on continual line drawing and the results were fantastic. 

Today we explored Trentmill Nature Reserve to help us with our setting description. We described what we say, what we heated and what we felt. 

This Year we are extremely lucky to all have our very own  iPads in class. Today we had some fantastic training, teaching us how to use them to further enhance our learning. Using the story of Little Red Riding Hood, linked to our writing text, we learned how to record our voices and add them to…

We used base 10 to help us to flexibly partitioning numbers to 100 in lots of different ways. The practical apparatus  helped us in securing our knowledge and understanding.
