Playing and performing
Today we had lots of fun listening and responding to music. We also enjoyed playing and performing using the nots c, d, e.
Making Sandwiches
Today we made our sandwiches for the Teddy Bears Picnic. We washed our hands and talked about the importance of this, chose our fillings and then used the knife to spread and cut, developing our fine motor skills.
It was super fun and they very very tasty!
Imperial War Museum
Year 6 visited the Imperial War Museum after studying ‘War Horse’ in our English lessons. We further extended our knowledge of how animals were helpful in the war effort through an interactive tour of the museum.
Animals that hibernate

Making visual notes in art
During todays art lesson ‘be an architect’ we looked at the artist and architect Friedensreich Hundertwasser. We created visual notes in our sketch books noting key features of his work including colours and shapes that he used and added key words too. We really enjoyed completing…
Master Puppeteers
Year 6 have worked in teams to brainstorm ideas for their shadow puppet creations. They have considered the scenery, characters and what resources they will enquire to create their performance.
Year 3 Citizenship
Today we ticked off one of our citizenship activities by taking part in team building activities. We had to travel from one end of the hall to the other using the mats. We had to help each other pass the mats to make sure nobody touched the floor.
Year 6 citizenship
Year 6 completed their first citizenship task by helping out in another year group. We helped year one to plant flowers, showing friendship, respect and determination in doing so.
Light investigation
Year 6 investigated what happens to their pupil when their eye is exposed to light.
Marble rolling and leaf rubbings
Today we stayed inside for Forest School as it was so cold outside. We used conkers and paint to create pieces of art using conker rolling and we also used dry leaves to create leaf rubbings. We had lots of fun!
Vocabulary Gallery
Today the children have looked at some of the high level vocabulary that can be found in our new text “The Wizard of Oz” we looked not only at the definition of these words but also how they can be used in year 5 level sentences such as expanded noun phrases and relative clauses.
Pantomime Success
A huge well done to one of our Year 3 pupils who has performed on stage in a Cinderella pantomime. She showed courage by performing to an audience and ticked off one of her citizenship activities. What a superstar!
