Fascinating facts!
Today we researched lots of wonderful facts about hedgehogs to help us with our non chronological report. We focused on their appearance, diet and habitat. We even found some fascinating wow facts too.
Drawing club
Today our very creative FS children created some beautiful poppies for remembrance day. They enjoyed getting sticky with the glue and tissue paper and viewed a beautiful animated story about the war and what poppies represent.
Ordering Numbers
The children have been working very hard to explore numbers 0-3 in depth. We have recited, counted, subitised and now we are ordering the numbers. The children began by reciting numbers in sequence and then we worked together to order them correctly.
Features of non chronological reports
Today we worked together to identify the features of a non-chronological report. We also identified the Year 2 skills to be included.
Character Description
Today we were detectives, looking at examples of a character description ready to write our own. We enjoyed finding all of the features and made our own checklist to refer to next week.
Active or passive voice
Year 6 have learnt about active and passive voice, and the skill of being able to recognise the object, verb and subject in a sentence.
PE AL - Musical Statues

We arranged harvest vegetables to create still life art. We worked together as a team to place the vegetables in position before using an iPad to take our own photographs of our art work.

Today we took our science lesson outside to investigate ‘Do people with longer femurs jumper further?’
