In after school, Forest School today we practiced our knot tying skills to make picture frames! Smile - we did!
Mud painting!
Today in Forest School, after school club we made our own paint using mud! We dug for mud, mixed with water and painted pictures. We also hunted for bugs, we are starting to be able to name some bugs now. The rain came but we still had fun!
Amazing artists!
Today we have been exploring different mediums. We have used pencils/handwriting pens to complete observational drawings of the objects we collected last week to create replicas of Andy Goldsworthy’s work. Today we focused on continual line drawing and the results were fantastic.

In maths we used the base ten to help us flexibly partition numbers to 100. We created two groups and wrote the number sentences. This helped us see that numbers can be made up in different ways.

In computing today we used the I pads to help us search safely online. We used purple mash to search different topics and apply filters.
Freeze-frame fun
Today we had lots of fun role playing and freeze framing our new story of Little Red Riding Hood. The children all got into role and thought about the actions and behaviours of each of they characters.
Maths Fun
Today we’ve enjoyed completing Maths activities for our lesson. We used our addition, subtraction and multiplication skills to solve problems, play games and to create colourful mosaics.
Sensational Statistics
Today we collected data from our class about our favourite story this year. We created a tally chart before making a huge pictogram. We learned that the most popular was The Worst Witch.
